I purchased a space-saver spare wheel kit from Braumach for my Toyota Corolla ZR Hybrid (2019 hatch). The quality of the wheel and tools is good, delivery was fast, and the kit itself appears well made. However, the wheel does not fit properly under the boot floor in the hybrid model. While it technically fits into the spare wheel well, it is slightly too tall, which means the boot floor will not sit flush and remains raised. This is a known issue with hybrid Corollas due to the battery placement, but unfortunately this was not made clear at the time of purchase, and the kit was advertised as compatible. I contacted Braumach and they were polite, but there doesn’t appear to be a proper low-profile solution currently available for this model. If you have a non-hybrid Corolla, this kit will likely be fine. But for hybrid owners, be aware that it may not fit correctly without modifying the boot floor or removing foam inserts. Overall: good product quality, but inaccurate fitment guidance for hybrid vehicles.
