Have peace of mind driving now knowing if you are to get a puncture your not stuck on the side of the road waiting for assistance. Always carry the spare wheel around as a precaution, or simply throw it in the back of your car for long trips, either way your covered.

WHEEL TESTED to 130 kph - SPEED LIMITED to 80kph. - Even though wheel and tyre supplied have been tested and passed safety tests of speeds up to 130 kph under load, having one tyre on your car front or back different in tread pattern, width, and weight can make the car unstable at higher speeds, hence the advised restricted SPEED LIMIT of 80 kph..

Conditions of use-

  • Maximum driving speed of 80 Kph when fitted
  • To be used as a Spare Wheel only. After wheel is fitted the driver must make there way at no faster than 80 Kph to seek assistance to repair or replace flat / damaged wheel..
  • Spare Wheel will bolt on using supplied new lugs / nuts or existing retainers
  • May replace either front or rear wheels on the car.
  • Wheel will clear all models brake calipers.

With a rented model 3 over Easter 2024 for a country road trip I borrowed by brothers Model y braumach spacesaver and Jack kit. So when I bought my BYD Sealion 7 one of the first purchases was a similar kit that arrived very quickly. For urban use this resides in the BYD. I did manage to buy a full size 20” rim as well from a fellow BYD owner. Given time I might buy a tyre for this and carry it on interstate drives. Should I get a flat tyre having a spare and jack kit on board to me is just common sense and piece of mind. Have no plans to change a flat, will either get BYD roadside assist or my insurers road side assist to do the dirty work.

Very happy with our space-saver spare kit from Braumach. Our BYD Sealion 7 is driven by my wife, mainly for suburban trips, with the spare staying in the garage. However, when we travel intra-state, we always pack the spare kit. The BYD only comes with a "seal-and-inflate" repair kit, which would be useless for a side-wall puncture, and we may not be anywhere near a repairer on our way down the coast. The space-saver is solid, but light enough for her to lift, and the whole kit has all we need to complete the job. The fit is "spot-on": I tested it on the front, turning full lock-to-lock, and there is no obstruction. Also very happy with speed of delivery, and quick responses by Braumach to enquiries.
